Brunswick, Maine. - The Colby College Men's Ice Hockey team faced the Polar Bears of Bowdoin College on Saturday evening for their second match-up of the season. As Bowdoin took a 3-0 lead, the Mules fought to come back and ultimately fell to the Polar Bears for the second time this season. The Mules now stand 9-7-2 overall and 5-6-1 in the NESCAC.
Bowdoin started off the scoring with six minutes to play in the first period, as they were out-shot 14 to six. The Polar Bears didn't let up, scoring two more goals in the second period and taking a 3-0 lead. The Mules fought back, as senior
Dan Juzych scored his second goal of the game, and the only goal for the Mules in the game at 17:27 in the second. While Colby out shot Bowdoin 12 to ten in the third period, Bowdoin scored another goal, coming out on top with a 4-1 win after 60 minutes. Sophomore
Cooper Rautenstrauch recorded 35 saves for the Mules.
The Mules play at Amherst on Friday at 7pm.
