Spartanburg, S.C. – The Colby College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed at the University of South Carolina Upstate on Saturday, racing against 13 men's teams and 11 women's teams in a highly competitive meet featuring over 200 runners combined.
In the men's 8k,
Chris Gould led the Mules with a 22nd-place finish in 25:37.4, followed closely by
Henry Reichle in 26th at 25:42.0. Strong pack running carried Colby to a team score of 161 points, securing 6th place overall.
On the women's side, sophomore
Catherine Mongan impressed with a 6th-place finish in the 6k, crossing the line in 22:17.9 against a field of 105 runners.
Ada Grant added a top-25 finish with a time of 23:10.3, helping the Mules score 136 points and place 5th overall.
Colby will return to action on Saturday, October 4, traveling to Keene, N.H., for the Keene State Invitational.
