Rautenstrauch Earns All-NESCAC Honors

Hadley, Mass. - As the team continues their run in the NESCAC Tournament, first-year goalie Cooper Rautenstrauch of Colby Men's Ice Hockey has earned a spot on the All-NESCAC second team. Rautenstrauch has been stellar in net in his first collegiate season for the Mules including a career-high 53 saves, the most saves in a game in the conference this year, in the teams double overtime quarterfinals victory over Amherst this past weekend.

The Buffalo, N.Y. native has played in 19 of the teams 25 games so far this season with a record of 11-3-5. Over the course of those 19 games Rautenstrauch has racked up a total of 574 saves. Back on December 6th versus Tufts he even managed to pick up an assist in the 6-4 victory. Compared to the rest of the net minders in the conference, Rautenstrauch is second in goals against average (1.92), second in saves per game (30.21) and second in saves percentage (.938).

Be on the lookout for Rautenstrauch and the rest of Colby Men's Ice Hockey team this Saturday for a NESCAC semifinals matchup versus Tufts.
