Women's Swimming Relay Earns All-American

School Record set in 200 Free Relay

Greensboro, N.C. - The Colby Women's Swimming Team closed out the second day of the Division III NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships by continuing to make history in their record breaking season.

The 200 Freestyle team of Eliza Marco, Gabriella Landau, Lily Moy and Lucy Mackey achieved Honorable Mention All American by finishing in 16th place. The prelim time of 1:34.11 was also a school record breaking it for the 3rd time this season. This was also the the first women's relay for the Mules that has made NCAA finals since 2008.

Earlier in the day Lexi Asch also swam the 100 Butterfly and finished 42nd. On the first day of the meet the 400 Medley Relay of Alexis Coates, Kellen Mottl, Asch and Marco swam to an 18th place finish. Marco also competed in the 50 freestyle where she finished 24th.
Tomorrow the Mules will have swimmers competing in the 200 Medley Relay, 200 Butterfly, 100 Backstroke, 100 Breaststroke and 800 Freestyle Relay.
