Boston, Mass - The Mules continued their season at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University.
At the Men's 200m Dash,
Peter Martel was placed sixth out of 146 runners, finishing in 21.88 seconds, tied with the indoor school record set in 2016, and followed by
Ren Zanze placed eighth, finishing in 21.90 seconds. At the 400m Dash Invite,
Ren Zanze was placed sixth out of thirty-five runners, finishing in 48.17 seconds.
Peter Martel,
Jackson Coelho, Sam Graubart, and Ren Zane participated in the 4 x 400m relay, finishing in 3:15.16, placing them eighth out of thirty-seven teams and breaking the indoor school record of 3:18.65 in 2016. At the 1 mile run, Henry Riechel finished in 4:16.67, placing him in the top half of the race.
At the Women's 200m Dash Invite,
Simone Waheed was placed thirty-seventh, finishing in 24.95, breaking the indoor school record of 25.18 set in 2022. At the 200m Dash,
Fiona Mejico led the way for the Mules, finishing in 25.06, placing her second out of 124 runners, followed by
Tally Zeller finishing in 25.57, and
Charlotte Brake-Hoffman finishing in 25.92, At the 400m Dash Invite,
Fiona Mejico was placed thirtieth, finishing in 56.30 seconds, breaking the indoor school record of 56.52 seconds set in 2016, followed by
Kaitlyn Ewald, placed thirty-ninth, finishing in 56.80 seconds.
Kristina Pizzi was placed first among other Colby runners at the 400m Dash, finishing in 57.50 seconds and placing her thirteenth in the race, followed by
Tally Zeller finishing forty-seventh in 59.03 seconds, and other runners.
The Mules will soon be back on track on Saturday, February 22, in the Bobcat Tune Up at Lewiston, Maine.
