Waterville, Maine - With day two of the 2025 NESCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championships complete, Colby currently sits in a podium third place position with a team total of 508 points. They sit behind just Williams (783) and Tufts (748) with Amherst (495) close behind.
The Mules began Friday night with the 200 freestyle relay team, consisting of
Eliza Marco,
Lily Moy,
Lucy Mackey and
Gabriella Landau, setting a new school record (1:34.29) and taking third place to earn All-NESCAC recognition.
In the next event,
Kellen Mottl, also breaking a school record (28.65) took the silver in the 50 breaststroke to earn herself a spot on the All-NESCAC team. Other individual results include Marco finishing second in the 50 freestyle to earn her second All-Conference award of the night while Landau, in the 50 backstroke, finished just outside the top-3 in fourth place. With a time of 25.35 Landau sets a new school record.
In the final event of the evening, the 400 medley relay, the Mules grabbed another podium finish in third with a team consisting of
Alexis Coates, Mottl,
Lexi Asch and Marco to add to their teams All-NESCAC awards. The time of 3:45.24 sets yet another school record.
The four-day NESCAC Championships will continue with day three tomorrow as they Mules look to tally more points, break more school records and total additional all-conference awards.
