Volleyball Headed to Middletown for NCAA Regional Action

Waterville, Maine - For the first time in program history, the fourth nationally ranked Colby Volleyball team has earned back to back at-large bids for the DIII NCAA Tournament. The Mules will head to regional host Wesleyan on Thursday to matchup with Marymount University in the first round of action. The two teams have met once before back in 2005 with Colby winning 3-2.  

The Saints, with a 17-16 overall record (7-0 in conference), are coming off an Atlantic East Championship topping Marywood 3-0 three days ago. According to the DIII NPI rankings Marymount is ranked 170th. The Mules are one of four NESCAC teams to earn a spot in this years tournament. 

Thursday's game is set for a 2:00pm start. Fans can follow alongside the action using the live stat and live video links as well as check out more information on the NCAA website including the tournament bracket. The winner will matchup against the victor of #24 Babson vs #37 Claremont M.S. in the second round on Friday. The regional championship game will take place Saturday at 5:00pm.
