Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Women's Soccer team faced the Cardinals of Wesleyan University for their Homecoming and Senior Day matchup. Before kickoff, the Mules honored their six seniors:
MK Marshall,
Kylie Thorp,
Jane Maguire,
Sophie DiGrande,
Fati Salifu, and
Murphy Leung. Despite strong offensive and defensive efforts, Colby fell to the Cardinals 0-1.
The Mules brought high energy into today's NESCAC matchup, controlling much of the play. They totaled an impressive 34 shots compared to Wesleyan's 11, and earned 12 corner kick opportunities while allowing only two for the Cardinals. Wesleyan found the back of the net at the 23:44 mark, which was the only goal of the game. Colby will travel to Lewiston on Tuesday night to face Bates College at 7:30 PM for their final regular-season game.
