New London, Conn. - The Colby College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams faced a highly competitive field at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday, October 18, with both squads posting strong efforts against large fields of nationally ranked programs.
The men's team placed 11th out of 34 teams in the 8k race.
Chris Gould led the Mules with a 39th-place finish in 24:50.9, followed closely by
Stephen White in 47th (24:55.1) and
Henry Reichle in 56th (25:01.8).
On the women's side, the Mules finished 25th of 33 teams in the 6k race.
Ada Grant paced the team with a 91st-place finish in 22:38.2, while
Abbey Wolfe (23:06.0) and Maria DiBari (23:07.9) followed closely behind to round out Colby's scoring runners in a competitive field of over 250 athletes.
The Mules will be back at Connecticut College next Saturday, November 1, for the NESCAC Championship.
