Waterville, Maine - This weekend the Colby Men's and Women's Crew teams will head to Cambridge, Mass. for the historic 2025 Head of the Charles Regatta. They will be joined by 13 Colby alumni who will be racing for their own club teams ranging from the class of 1976 all the way to last springs graduating class of 2025.
The Head of the Charles Regatta dates back to 1965 and is now known as the world's largest three-day rowing event attracting 11,000 competitors and 400,000 spectators. The race course is set on the Charles RIver spanning a 4,800-meter course (2.9 miles) and is known for being technically challenging due to bridges and turns, which requires precise steering from the coxswain.
Both the Colby Men's and Women's team will compete in the collegiate 8+ events taking place on Sunday. The women's race will being at 2:59pm followed by the men's at 3:38pm. Fans can follow alongside the action through the
