Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Women's Ice Hockey team opened their weekend with some NESCAC play against the Camels of Connecticut College. The Mules battled hard, but fell short 2-1.
Colby opened the first period with strong offensive pressure, firing 29 total shots to the Camels' 13 and winning 14 of 19 faceoffs. Despite their dominance in possession, the Mules couldn't find the back of the net and ended the period trailing 2-0. Determined to respond, Colby came alive in the second period. At 8:57,

Paige Bolyard delivered a strong performance, making nine crucial saves to keep Colby close as the period ended with a 2-1 score. Determined to even the score, Colby brought relentless energy to the third period. Despite generating strong offensive opportunities, the Mules couldn't capitalize and fell 2-1 to Connecticut College.
The Mules will rematch the Camels tomorrow afternoon at 3pm.
