Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Women's Ice Hockey team opened their weekend with some NESCAC play against the Camels of Connecticut College. The Mules battled hard, but fell short 2-1.

Colby opened the first period with strong offensive pressure, firing 29 total shots to the Camels' 13 and winning 14 of 19 faceoffs. At 8:57, Anna Staton scored for the Mules, which was assisted by Audrey Shirer and Molly Lefebvre. Goalie Paige Bolyard delivered a strong performance, making nine crucial saves to keep Colby close as the period ended with a 2-1 score.
