Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Field Hockey team played their first home game against Connecticut College on Saturday Afternoon. The Mules and the Camels played neck and neck the whole game, but Conn came out on top with a 1-0 win. Colby now stands 1-2 in the NESCAC Conference.
Colby and Conn played an even first half, staying tied 0-0, but Conn dominated with 14 shots and eight penalty corners compared to Colby's four shots and four corners. The Mules came out strong to start the second half, but Conn found the back of the net on a penalty stroke a few minutes into the third quarter. Colby fought back for the last 25 minutes earning seven more shots on goal and three more penalty corners, but it wasn't enough to tie it, and Conn ended up winning 1-0.
Leah Anderson kept the Mules in the game with a career-high of seven saves.
Colby is back in action at home Sunday against Husson at 12pm.
