Williamstown, MA - The Colby College Men's Tennis team fell 1-8 to Williams College in the second to last NESCAC matchup of the year, on Saturday afternoon.
In doubles, the Mules had close matchups on all 3 courts, but ended up trailing 0-3. Senior captain Sam Henry and junior captain Jake Cohen lost a close game at 6-7 to fall 6-8. On court 2, first years Paul Dandler and Sandeep Alapati fell 5-8. On court 3, senior captain Joey Barrett and sophomore Aidan Kwong lost 5-8 as well.
In singles, Colby came out battling, with close matches on all 6 courts. Cohen was able to pull out his match for the mules at court 2, 6-2 6-4. On court 4, Dandler lost a tight first set tiebreaker 6-8 and his second set 4-6. To finish out the day, Alapati lost his match in a 10 point tie breaker, 2-6 7-6(5) 11-13.
Colby is back in action Sunday, April 28th against Middlebury.
