Brunswick, Maine - Placing the finishing touches on the spring buildup to next weekend's NESCAC Championships, the Colby Men's and Women's Track & Field teams collected seven victories at the Maine State Classic hosted by Bowdoin College.
The Women's team placed 2nd in the nine-team event with wins by
Simone Waheed (100m),
Marielle Goganian (400m),
Serena Blasius (10,000m), and the 4x400 and 4x800 Relay teams. With 16 performances landing in the top-5, ten received hardware after placing on the podium. The Men placed 4th with two event winners (
Gordon Doore in the 1500m and the 4x100 Relay team) and 11 podium finishes.
