Pasadena, CA - The Colby College Men's Tennis team fell 4-5 to Caltech in the final matchup of spring break, on Friday afternoon.
In doubles, Caltech started well at court 1, where the Mules fought back but ended up losing 5-8. At court 2, the Mules lost a tight match 6-8. Winning at court 3 as well, Caltech then led 3-0 after doubles.
In singles, Colby won 4 of the 6 matches. At court 1, senior captain Joey Barrett dominated, 6-0 6-2. At court 2, junior captain Jake Cohen won in a similar fashion, 6-1 6-2. At court 6, sophomore Aidan Kwong won his match 6-2 6-3. With the Mules down 3-5, senior captain Sam Henry then pulled out his match in a 10 point tiebreak, 2-6 6-3 1-0(8).
Colby is back in action Saturday, April 6th against Amherst for the second NESCAC matchup of the year.
