Gainesville, Georgia - Colby Women's Tennis beats the Brenau Tigers 6-1 on their final day of their Atlanta trip.
Doubles started off well for the Mules, with senior captains
Sam Riordan and
Sydney Landau beating their opponents at one doubles 6-2. At third doubles, the unstoppable pairing of
Ellie Gershaw and
Amelie Gal won 6-1.
Singles went just as well for the Mules, winning 5 out of the 6 matches. Notable wins for the Mules include
Sydney Landau at 2 singles, beating her opponent 6-1, 6-0,
Ellie Gershaw at 3 singles, beating her opponent 6-2, 6-2, and
Jade Finestone at 4 singles, coming out on top with a score of 6-3, 6-1. Both
Sam Riordan and
Amelie Gal won tight tiebreakers at one and six, respectively, bringing the Mules to a final score of 6-1.
The Mules are heading back to Waterville, Maine tomorrow- facing Amherst next Saturday April 6th.
