CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Women's Crew races to a strong 17th place finish out of 34 at the iconic Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday. Their solid performance this weekend guarantees them an entry into the event next year instead of relying on getting in via a lottery selection.
The Charles greeted the thousands of athletes in attendance this weekend with warm temps, little wind to speak of, and beautiful fall foliage. The crew which consisted of Cox:

Kirsten Ishii '25 completed the three mile course in 18:11.306, which put them just in front of Skidmore 'A' and Bowdoin 'A' and had them nearly 23 seconds ahead of Clark 'A'. Assistant coach
Abbey Moore-Kneipp mentioned that the the coaching staff is "so proud of how this crew has improved and raced with so much heart. We have been putting in good work this fall, so to see some good results makes us excited for CBBs this weekend to conclude our season and take us into winter training."
The Colby Women's Crew team will have a quick turn around as they prepare for this Saturday's CBB battle at home at The Hume Center on Messalonskee Lake, where they'll look to carry their positive momentum and close out their fall race schedule on a good note.
