Why I chose Colby:  I chose Colby because I knew I could explore a variety of interests throughout my time here. I also love the tight-knit community/ walkability of the campus, not to mention the (gorgeous) surrounding nature!

Major:  English (with a concentration in creative writing) and Studio Art major (on the printmaking track)

What is your Favorite Part of the Athletic Center: I love the courtyard area!!

Favorite Place on Campus:  The Lower Arb (specifically the stream). A close second would have to be the hammocks behind Foss.

Most Memorable Team Experience:  The Annual Spring Break Cornhole Tournament

Favorite Professional Athlete:  Simone Biles

Favorite Pre-Game Meal/Snack:  My favorite snacks to have on-hand at regattas are GoGoSqueeze packets, Builders Bars, and Bananas.

Game Day Superstition:  I sing Trumpets (by Jason Derulo) in my head every time we get up to the start line. Also, I always wear a white visor when racing (for good luck).

Internship/Work Experience:  I worked as a Creative Writing Research Assistant this past summer at Colby. During previous summers, I worked as a lifeguard/ swim instructor/ assistant swim director at the Chestnut Hill School. I also had a marketing internship at Boston University, assisted in coaching elementary school soccer and cross country at my high school, and worked for Colby Admissions in past years..

Plans After Colby:  I'm honestly not sure, but I want to have a career that combines design and writing and allows me to work closely with other people. Hopefully I'll figure something more concrete out soon.
