Mules Score Crucial Point, Tie #7 Middlebury

Waterville, Maine - Colby Women's Soccer scored a crucial tie against Middlebury on Saturday as the NESCAC regular season approached an exciting conclusion.

On the road against the seventh-ranked Panthers, Colby proved they can compete with the very best. Middlebury had multiple chances in the first half but could not convert. MK Marshall made five saves in the first half alone en route to her fifth clean sheet of the season.

In the second half, the script flipped as Colby mounted multiple attacks, taking thirteen shots but none finding the back of the net.

With the tie, Colby moves to 8-3-1 on the season with a 3-3-1 record in NESCAC play, good for sixth place. With eight wins and one tie, Colby has already guaranteed its best season since 2012. Over the next three games, they will look to match the season win total of ten set in 1995.

The Mules will return to action next Saturday when they take on the Trinity Bantams. That games will kick off at 11 on the Mark Serdjenian Field.
