Richmond, Va. - The Colby Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams were both named to the CSCAA's 2022-23 Spring Scholar All-America Team. 718 total teams were selected based of their Spring 2023 team grade point averages representing 17,497 student-athletes nation wide.
As a group the Colby Women averaged a GPA of 3.66 with 24 participants while the Men averaged a 3.38 GPA consisting of 25 participants.
On top of that, seven Mules were selected for the 2023 Individual Scholar All-American team.
Alexander MacLennan (Undeclared),
Neil Mortimer (Economics),
Ann Tolan (Sociology), and
Allen Zhu (Chemistry) were all named to the First Team.
Spencer Cohen (Statistics),
Eleanor McGrath (Environmental Science) and
Monet Meyer (Global Studies & Spanish) were named to the Second Team.
To be named to the First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.50 and participate in their respective national championship. Second-Team selections also earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher and met the "B" time standard for the national championship or participated in a diving zone qualification meet.
