Rochester, N.Y. - Sophomore Fiona Mejico of the Women's Outdoor Track & Field team competed in the NCAA DIII 400m Hurdles final Saturday after qualifying 8th with a time of 1:00.94 in the prelim. At the end of the final, Mejico moved up one spot finishing 7th overall (1:01.34) earning All-American status. 

Head Track & Field Coach Dave Cusano states that, "Fiona really trusted in the training progression both technically and physically throughout the spring. This led to her having a tremendous amount of self confidence.  A steady flow of calmness matched with a starving amount of hunger to succeed, ensured her in having an outstanding weekend that included two personal bests, breaking her own school record, and becoming an All-American."

Mejico also competed in the 400m race placing 12th overall.
