Atlanta, Ga.- Colby College Women's Track and Field traveled to Atlanta Georgia to compete in the Emory Thrills in the Hills at Emory University. The Mules tallied 84 points for a second-place finish.
Some highlights include more first-place finishes by
Fiona Mejico in the Women's 400 Meters and the Women's 400 Hurdles. In the 400 Hurdles Mejico finished four seconds before the next competitor; breaking not only her personal record, but the school record. In the Women's 400 Meters,
Olivia Doherty's time of 59.58 resulted in a personal best and a fourth-place finish. In the Women's 100 Hurdles,
Erin Daugherty's second-place finish resulted in a career-best as well as a second-place finish in the Women's 400 Hurdles. In the Women's 4x100 Relay;
Lottie Franck,
Fiona Mejico,
Erin Daugherty, and
Kristina Pizzi's time of 49.76 resulted in a seventh-place finish. Additionally, in the Women's 4x400 Relay;
Olivia Tomlin,
Erin Daugherty,
Anna Mackey, and
Olivia Doherty's combined effort achieved a third-place finish. In the field events,
Isabel Llach reached the 1.55m mark to earn a second-place finish, and in the Women's Triple Jump
Kassie Brink reached the 10.95m mark for a fourth-place finish.
Next Saturday, April 1st, Colby College Women's Track and Field will return to Maine to compete in the Bates Quad Meet.
