Waterville, ME - The Colby Women's Tennis team lost to 11th ranked Williams 7-2 on Sunday, April 16th.

The Mules were unable to gain a point in the doubles. At line 1, junior captains Sam Riordan and Sydney Landau fell 8-2. At 2nd doubles freshmen Bella Suk and Maddie Omicioli lost 8-2. On court 3, freshmen Ellie Gershaw and Amelie Gal fell 8-6.

The Mules headed into singles hoping to turn the score around. On court 1, Riordan overcame her opppnent 6-2, 1-6, 6-2. At line 4, Gershaw also won, with a score of 7-5, 6-2. At line 6, senior captain Caleigh McClain took her opponent to a final tiebreaker, but was unable to convert in the end, falling 6-3, 2-6, 10-7.

The Mules continue NESCAC play on Wednesday, April 19th against Bowdoin.
