Waterville, ME - The Colby Women's Tennis Team was defeated 6-3 by 24th ranked Bowdoin on Wednesday, April 19th.

The Mules came out firing in the doubles, and won on all 3 courts. At line 1, junior captains Sam Riordan and Sydney Landau won 8-6. On court 2, the freshmen duo of Maddie Omicioli and Bella Suk won 8-7. At 3rd doubles, freshmen Amelie Gal and Ellie Gershaw won 8-5. 

The momentum shifted towards the Bears in the singles, who were able to win on all 6 courts. Gershaw pushed her Bowdoin opponent to a 3rd set tiebreaker, but ultimately fell 5-7, 6-4, 10-4.

The Mules travel to Connecticut to take on Conncecticut College and Trinity this weekend.
