Middletown, Conn. - After competing in the 2023 Swimming and Diving NESCAC Championships last weekend, the Colby Women's Swimming and Diving team wrapped up the regular season Sunday at Wesleyan as they traveled for the Women's February Invite. It was a small meet with few schools competing, resulting in no teams scores with limited events and results.
The Mules 200 freestyle relay team kicked things off (
Gabriella Landau,
Ann Tolan,
Kellen Mottl,
Ruby Venturelli) grabbing the top spot on the podium with a time of 1:35.33, good for a new school record. Again Colby had a great race in the team events taking gold in the 200 medley relay (Landau,
Ellie Mackle, Mottl, Tolan) with a time of 1:44.16 for another school record. Tolan grabbed a solo gold medal in the 100 freestyle with a time of 53.25 as Landau wrapped up the event for the Mules also snagging first place but in the 100 backstoke with a time of 56.18.
Now Colby will head onto NCAA zone diving regionals on the 24th-25th and wrap up the season with NCAA Championships on March 15th-18th.
