Brunswick, Maine - The Colby Women's Swimming and Diving team competed in the four day long NESCAC Championships from the 9th-12th. The Mules ended up taking 8th place out of the 11 total teams after grabbing 631.5 points which is 62 more points over last years 8th place finish.
Top five results for Colby started off with
Gabriella Landau taking a fourth place finish in both the 50 backstroke with a time of 26.49 and 100 backstroke with a time of 56.96. In the 200 medley relay, the Mules placed fifth (Landau,
Kellen Mottl,
Laurel Skorina,
Ann Tolan) knotting a time of 1:45.11
Onto the diving events,
Avery Rappaport took bronze in the one meter with a final score of 445.05 followed by
Eleanor McGrath (425.35 points) and
Monet Meyer (396.80) in sixth and seventh. In the three meter, McGrath grabbed a third place finish with a score of 445.10
Women's Swimming and Diving will next head to Wesleyan on the 19th for their Women's February Invite while the Men travel to Middletown, Conn. for their own NESCAC championships happening the 16th-19th.
