Malden, Mass. - The Colby College Men's Ice Hockey team fell to Tufts University Saturday afternoon by a score of 3-1. The Mules drop to 2-3-2 to close out the first semester while the Jumbos improve to 4-4-1.
The hosts were able to score once in the first period and again in the second, building a 2-0 lead after two. Colby tightened the gap early in the third frame when
Bobby Landry scored his first collegiate goal and Colby's second power play goal of the season, assisted by
John McElaney. McElaney now has five assists in seven games, good for fifth in the NESCAC. The Jumbos added another goal late to secure their fourth conference victory in six tries.
The Mules once again out-shot their opponent, this time by the mark of 34-23.
Colby is back in action January 2nd hosting Saint Anselm College.
