Waterville, Maine - The Mules are happy to announce the return of Nicole Clark who will be taking over as an Assistant Director of Athletics and Head Equipment Manager in January.
"We are thrilled to have Nicole return to Colby. Her passion for her job is evident and we are lucky to have someone join our team with as much experience as Nicole," said Associate Athletic Director Nicki Veilleux. "Her history in the NESCAC is incredibly valuable as she understands and supports our mission. She will make an immediate impact on our athletic operations."
Clark served as Bates equipment manager from 2018-2022. She previously held the role of equipment manager at Colby from 2008-2018. At Colby, she will lead all aspects of equipment operations including management of student workers, procurement, inventory management, and overseeing laundry services.
Clark's duties for Bates Athletics included procurement, distribution, inventory and repair of equipment, as well as field coverage for 31 varsity teams. She served on several committees at Bates, including the Bates Agents of Change Coalition and the Athletics DEI Committee.Â
Clark completed her undergraduate work at the University of Maine at Farmington in 2008, where she was the sports photographer for the student newspaper. She graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in 2016 with a Master's in Sport Management.
Clark is a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association and became certified in 2017. As a member of the AEMA, Clark assumed leadership positions including serving as the District 1 Secretary, also serving on the Policy and Procedure Committee, the Education committee and the Role Delineation Committee. She is also a member of the Women of the AEMA and has presented at the National Convention.
Clark has volunteered her services for the Dream Bowl game in Virginia as well as the Maine Lobster Bowl.
