Mules Fall Short Against Trinity

Waterville, Maine - The Colby Women's Soccer Team hosted the Trinity Bantams on Saturday in a day filled with Mule spirit. In front of a large crowd the Mules battled a strong Trinity squad in a 2-0 loss.

The first half was filled with strong defensive play from both teams and ended with only three shots on net from both teams. The defensive battle continued in the start of the second half as Colby and Trinity traded threatening attacks. In the 55th minute the Bantams were able to slide one into the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead.

The Mules were unable to penetrate the Trinity defense and the Bantams were able to add another to their lead in the 69th minute with a shot from just outside the 18 yard box. Despite a series of menacing attacks the Mules were unable to get a goal and the game finished 2-0.
