Box Score 2 Gorham, Maine- The Mules' Softball team played against the University of Southern Maine Huskies this past Monday evening. The Mules would end up splitting the games, falling in game one 2-1 and winning game two 7-2.

Junior
Sam Ahlholm hurled a complete game for the Mules in the first game, allowing only one earned run, issuing no walks and striking out three. The Huskies scored the first run of the game in the fourth inning, but Colby retaliated in the fifth to even the score with an RBI single from
Chloe Wilcox, plating
Hannah Masterson. USM jumped back on top in the sixth inning, scoring the winning run to take a 2-1 victory.

In game two, Colby's bats came alive. The Mules jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the third inning where singles by
Logan Luebbe and
Katelyn Hays drove in two runners each.  The Mules added a run in the sixth, and posted two more in the seventh off a two-run homerun by
Morgan Fusco.Â
Abby Orso pitched the first four innings, giving way in the circle to
Payton Crowley to finish out the game. The duo combined for one earned run and five strikeouts, scattering eight hits across the seven frames. Colby took game two over the Huskies with a final score of 7-2.

Colby plays again this Friday. April 22, in Waterville, Maine at the Softball Complex against NESCAC foe Bowdoin College. The game is slated to start at 4:00 PM.
