Colby Swimming and Diving Competes at Nationals

Indianapolis, Ind. Colby's John Connors, Addie Paige, Ann Tolan, and Sam Cahaly are returning home after a memorable week competing against the nation's best at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Competing against the best in the nation and qualifying in Individual Events the Mules had an impressive showing with two Mules becoming Second Team All Americans in two different events.

Leading off the charge in the pool were Seniors John Connors and Addie Paige. John competed in the 50 (36th), 100 (49th), and 200 freestyle (53rd) while Addie competed in the 200 (56th), 500 (47th) and 1650 freestyle (29th).

Junior Ann Tolan became a Second Team All American in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 23.22 finishing in 10th place and grabbing 33rd in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 51.72. She had this to say about the meet: "Traveling and being able to represent Colby was amazing, and motivates me to help contribute to our team's growth and goals." 

On the Boards Sophomore Sam Cahaly became the 2nd diver in Colby history to earn Second Team All American in the 3 Meter grabbing 15th place with a score of 432.55 and 24th in the 1 Meter with a score of 379.50. 


Ann Tolan and Sam Cahaly will be returning to compete for Colby next year.
