Clermont, Florida- The Colby Softball Team had another day of two games, this time against Wellesley College and the College of Wooster. The Mules were looking to improve after two tough losses yesterday. Colby would end up splitting their two games on the day, defeating Wellesley College with a score of 7-3 and losing to The College of Wooster with a score of 5-3.

Sam Ahlholm started game one against Wellesley College for the Mules, pitching 3.0 innings and striking out two. The Mules were held scoreless through the first three innings but ignited the comeback in the fifth inning with
Chloe Wilcox doubling and bringing in
Brenna Forbes. Wilcox would also touch all the bases, scoring on an error after
Logan Luebbe singled to left field to cut Wellesley's lead to 3-2 through five innings.
Erika Macleod reached first base on a walk, eventually scoring on an error forced by
Brenna Forbes to tie the game at 3.
Logan Luebbe came up to bat with the bases loaded in the sixth inning, hitting her first home run of the season, taking a 7-3 lead over Wellesley College.
Abby Orso collected the win in game one with 4.0 innings pitched and striking out five batters.

Amanda Cabral started game two for the Mules against the College of Wooster, pitching 2.2 innings. Colby gained a lead early in the game, with
Logan Luebbe continuing a strong offensive streak, driving in
Brenna Forbes in the first inning. Wooster fought back, scoring two runs in the third inning to take the lead over the Mules. Colby worked to tie the game in the third inning, with
Grace Gouin hitting an RBI single to score
Payton Crowley, and then
Hannah Masterson would tie the game after scoring on an error. Wooster regained the lead in the fifth inning by adding a run against Crowley, who pitched 4.1 innings. Wooster would seal the game by scoring one more time in the seventh inning, making the final score 5-3. Crowley finished her performance with a total of four strikeouts.

The Mules play two games tomorrow afternoon. At 1:30 PM, the Mules will play the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and play Grinnell College at 4:00 PM.
