Field Hockey Plays Trinity on the Road to Open NESCAC Season

Hartford, CT- The Colby Mules headed to Trinity College this past Saturday to face the Bantams in their first NESCAC matchup of the season. Ranked 14th in the nation, the Bantams put the Mules up to a tough challenge.

The Bantams got off to a hot start, scoring in the early minutes of the first quarter scoring their first goal of the match. Despite being behind in the match, the young group of Mules were looking to fight back. Emily Loeb proved her value to the Mules team making 11 strong saves on the day.

quirkDespite allowing four total goals, the Mules showed their resiliency and played a full 60 minutes, finally hitting the back of the net with just over one minute left in the match with sophomore Erin Quirk (pictured left) being credited with the goal.

The Mules are back in action tomorrow against the Connecticut College Camels at 12:30 PM in New London, CT.
