Waterville, MAINE – Tyler Morris has yet another award to add to his trophy case- NESCAC Performer of the Week. This past weekend, Morris and Colby Men's Cross-Country team competed at the Maine State Meet hosted by Bates at Pineland Farms. Morris covered the 8-kilometer course with a time of 24:48:6, breaking the course record. This incredible record-setting time led the Mules to a second place finish and put Morris' name on this week's NESCAC awards.
Head Men's and Women's Coach Jared Beers '01 had high praise for Morris, "It is always exciting to watch Tyler race. Not only does he display intense focus and determination, but on top of that, Tyler brings a lot of enthusiasm to the course. You can tell he really loves racing, and that attitude has been such a positive influence on our team as a whole." There is no doubt that this will not be the only time the NESCAC recognizes the talented Junior, Tyler Morris.
