Box Score 2 Boston, MASSACHUSETTS - The Colby Volleyball team traveled to Boston for a double header this Saturday, first against the Rams of Suffolk University followed by a match with the Emerson Lions.
In the first match the Mules fought hard to come out on top. They won the first two sets (25-20, 25-16), but fell short in the third (24-26). The game ended with Colby winning 3-2 against the Rams, going 15-10 to clinch the win in the fifth set. Hannah Wyllie led the team in kills with 16 across the five sets. Julia Hutchings crushed the backcourt, leading the Mules with 17 digs.
The second match of the day was against the Lions of Emerson College. Colby fought hard in each set, but ultimately lost 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-15). Hannah Wyllie once again led the Mules in kills with 8 across the three sets. Morgan Selby stepped up with 19 aces and 13 digs throughout the match.
Colby is on the road again next Saturday, October 23, with another double header. Both matches will be at Clark University, in Worcester, MA, one against Clark at 12:00pm and the other against Rivier University at 2:00pm.
