Waterville, MAINE – Colby Volleyball took a 7-6 record into Saturday, when they took on the Hamilton Continentals. The Continentals took every set deep, but the Mules fought hard and came out with a 3-0 win (25-23, 29-27, 19-25).
The statistical categories show the match was hard fought, but Colby was able to narrowly beat out Hamilton in each one. The Mules led in both the front and back-court. Hannah Wyllie, back for only her second game since an injury, led the team with 14 kills, and Jenny Slaveck followed her on the leader board with 10. Julia Hutchings led on defense, contributing 16 digs in the back court for Colby. Bella Schumacher led the Mules in service aces, with four during the match.
Colby Volleyball is back in action against Trinity College in Hartford Connecticut on October 15. The start time is set for 8:00pm.
