Hartford, Connecticut – The Mules took on the Trinity Bantams Friday night with a ton of energy. Colby entered the match 7-6, ready to fight every minute. The team did just that, coming back from a loss in the first set to win sets 3 and 4. The Bantams ultimately came back in the fourth and fifth set and won the match 3-2, but each set was a close battle (17-25, 25-22, 25-19, 23-25, 13-15).
Jenny Slaveck led the Mules at the net with a total of 18 kills throughout the match. Hannah Wyllie was right behind Sleveck with 12 kills. Wyllie also made her presence known by leading Colby with 5 blocks. The Mules dominated in the back court with Julia Hutchings' strong showing, leading the team with 25 digs across 5 sets. Morgan Selby contributed an incredible 41 assists throughout the match.
Colby is back in action tomorrow, October 16 in Boston, MA. Watch them face off against Suffolk University at 12:00pm.
