Colby falls to Amherst and Endicott

Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Volleyball team ran up against three strong opponents this weekend, and struggled to gain momentum.  After playing Middlebury College (#10 in Regional Poll) tough Friday night, teams from the colleges of Amherst (#9) and Endicott (#6) took matches in straight sets Saturday in Wadsworth Gymnasium on the campus of Colby College.  

In the first match of the day, the Amherst Mammoths took the three sets 25-17, 25-8, and 25-11.  Natalie Simonton led the Mules in kills (8) and Elizabeth Middlebrook led in digs (7).  

In the second match against Endicott, the Gulls took the three sets 25-14, 25-14 and 25-13.  This time Middlebrook led the way in kills (7) and Blair Sullivan led in digs (12).  

Colby is back in action next weekend when they visit Bates College to play the Bobcats and Springfield College.
