Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine- The Colby College Men's Ice Hockey team fell to the Connecticut College Camels, 3-2.
GAME NOTES: The Mules took an early 2-0 lead, but the Camels were able to answer with their own goals and tie the game entering the third period. In the end, the Camels were able to score the winning goal in the Alfond Rink. The Mules now fall to a 3-5 record overall.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE MULES:
- Carter Breitenfeldt opened up the game with a goal at the 1:30 mark. Justin Grillo (photo inset) assisted on the play.
- Brendan Murphy scored his fourth goal of the season as he crashed the net off a J.P. Schuhlen and Quinn Doyle setup. The Mules increased their lead with 15 minutes remaining in the first period.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE CAMELS:
- Chris Adamsons scored the Camels first goal of the second period with the assists coming from Paul Capozzi and Anthony Quatieri.
- Ryan Petti tied the game with a rocket that came off Brett Sterling's pass at 14:05.
- At 7:56 Colin Stevens scored the winning goal for Conn College. Quatieri and Steven Senese were credited with the assists.
KEY STATS:
- Grillo leads the team with 8 points so far this season.
- Andrew Tucci finished the game with 27 saves for Colby.
- Conor Rodericks tallied 41 saves for the Camels.
NEXT MATCHUP: The Mules look ahead to a non-conference matchup at Endicott College on 12/31.
