Men's hockey ties Camels, will finish regular season Saturday at Tufts

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Sean Lawrence stopped a penalty shot with less than five minutes left in regulation and Colby College fought back
from an early 2-0 deficit to earn a 2-2 overtime tie at Connecticut College on Friday night.

The Mules are 11-10-2 overall and 8-7-2 in the conference heading into Saturday's 4 p.m. final regular season game at Tufts University. The Jumbos took a 4-2 win against Bowdoin College on Friday. Colby currently is in sixth place in the league heading in the final weekend of play in the NESCAC.

Game highlights
* Lawrence had the biggest of his 35 saves with 4:38 left in regulation when he went to his left and stopped a penalty shot.

* The Mules started their comeback when Phil Klitirinos netted his sixth goal of the season at 9:08 of the first period on the power play. Kienan Scott and Michael Decker had assists on the play.

* Cam MacDonald (pictured) tied the game at 2-2 at 16:29 of the second period. Justin Grillo, who had a shot from the point that MacDonald was able
to redirect, and Michael Rudolf had assists on the goal.

* Jacob Moreau had goals for the Camels (9-10-4, 8-5-4) at 3:46 and 6:13 of the opening period.

By the numbers
* The Mules had a 48-30 advantage in face-offs.

* Colby had the lone power play goal of the game and gave the Camels just two chances with the extra man.
