MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Mardi Haskell took 12th place in the giant slalom for the Colby College women's alpine ski team and Michael Boardman placed 14th for the men at the Middlebury Carnival on Saturday at the Snow Bowl.
Haskell was 19th after her first run of 1:02.69 and moved all the way up to 12th after a second trip of 1:06.29. She helped the Mules finish fifth overall with 71 points.
Sandra Schoepke added another top-20 finish by placing 17th in 2:09.66. Lexi Hanus took 31st for the Mules in 1:04.17.
Boardman clocked runs of 1:00.40 and 1:03.70 for a two-run total time of 2:04.10.
Max Richard was 35th in 2:05.96 and
Michael Ferri (pictured) placed 37th at 2:06.16 for the seventh place Mules.
Colby heads to Sunday River next weekend for the Eastern Championships (Bates Carnival).
