BEFORE COLBY
Max graduated from Carrabassett Valley Academy and played soccer, tennis, and skied. He captained the soccer and tennis teams for two years.
AT COLBY
Max majors in Psychology (Neuroscience) at Colby. He is a member of the Colby Leadership Academy and the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.
2017 season highlights: Richard had his best season, tallying four top-20 finishes in slalom and two in giant slalom. He skied GS at the Eastern Development Championships at Attitash, finishing 14th. Max also competed at the U.S. Alpine Championships, placing 23rd in the slalom and 27th in the giant slalom.
2016 season highlights: Richard competed in all carnivals for the Mules, finishing 25th at the Bates Carnival slalom. At the Colby Carnival, Richard finished 31st in the GS and 28th in the slalom. Max finished 30th in the slalom at the Vermont Carnival, 26th at the Dartmouth GS, and finished the season taking 16th in the slalom at the Eastern Championships.
2015 season highlights: Richard had his best finish in the UVM Carnival, where he finished 31st in the slalom and 35th in the giant slalom. In the Eastern Championships, Richard finished 33rd in the giant slalom.
