Bowdoinham, Maine native Taylor Leech joined the Colby Women’s Ice Hockey staff as an assistant coach ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Leech played five seasons at the University of Maine, appearing in 133 games and serving as a two-time captain before graduating with a degree in biology on the pre-med track. Following college, she played professionally in Europe for the Lugano Ladies in Switzerland and Leksand IF in Sweden, where she also served as an assistant captain. While in Sweden, Leech mentored and worked with the junior girls’ program and led weekly off-ice training sessions for a U18 boys team.
Following her playing career, Leech transitioned into coaching full-time, most recently leading the girls’ varsity program at Kents Hill School in Maine to its winningest season in more than a decade. She also directs the CT Lightning Summer Showcase Program and has coached at elite development camps across New England. She is excited to bring her playing and coaching experience to the collegiate level and to contribute to the continued growth and success of Colby Women’s Hockey.
