Marc Roy serves as Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities & Operations at Colby College, providing strategic leadership for the planning, management, and execution of athletic and recreation facility operations. In this role, he oversees the daily operation of more than 350,000 square feet of athletic and recreation space, supporting 30 varsity athletic programs, club sports, campus recreation, and a wide range of institutional and external events.

Roy directs facility scheduling, event operations, and operational planning while collaborating with coaches, athletic trainers, facilities management, campus safety, and external partners to ensure safe, efficient, and student-centered athletic environments. He coordinates logistics for more than 130 athletic contests, championships, tournaments, and special events annually and has served as the Tournament Director for a number of NCAA postseason competitions.

Promoted to Assistant Athletic Director in 2024, Roy previously served as Colby's Associate Director of Recreation and Assistant Director of Informal Recreation and Wellness Programs. During his time in recreation leadership, he oversaw more than 30 club sports teams and helped drive significant program growth across the department. He played a key role in the creation of 10 new club sports teams, the establishment of the Colby Club Sport Council, and the expansion of group fitness participation by more than 50%. Roy also developed a personal training program for faculty and staff and created a student certification pathway for group fitness and personal training instructors.

Prior to joining Colby in 2021, Roy served as Coordinator of Intramural and Club Sports at the University of Southern Maine. 

A native of Merrimack, New Hampshire, Roy earned both a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and a Master of Business Administration from Husson University. He remains passionate about creating exceptional environments that support athletic achievement, student engagement, and institutional success.

Marc resides in Newport, ME with his wife Morgan and two sons, Harrison and Preston.
