Major: Environmental Science and French Studies
Why I chose Colby: "I’ve always lived in Maine and I was looking for a school that offered a strong academic and athletic program. I loved how close the community was and the strong relationships students have with their professors."
Internship/Work Experience: During the summer of 2020, Simonton was a remote environmental education and conservation intern for Wilton Wildlife Preserve and Park.
Favorite Place on Campus: "The spa because I always see so many friendly faces and it’s a great place to do work, eat food, and hang out with friends."
Most Memorable Team Experience: "Headphone karaoke on the bus ride back from Hamilton."
Plans After Colby: "I would like to get experience using my French language skills while also working for a small conservation organization. After a year or two of experience and possibly research abroad, I am planning to apply to law school and study Environmental Crime Law."
What do you think of the new Athletic Center?: "It’s amazing! I love being able to workout as a whole team and having a locker room to use all year."
