Biography

BEFORE COLBY

Taylor ran cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track at Notre Dame Academy. She was captain of both the cross country and track teams. She also earned Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic for cross country, Catholic Conference All-Star for two consecutive years, and Dual County League All-Star for three consecutive years. She was also a part of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, and the Scholar’s Program.

AT COLBY 

Taylor is a Biology major with a concentration in Neuroscience and has a Computer Science minor. She is a junior high tutor and a member of the Hardy Girls Healthy Women group at Colby.

2017 outdoor season highlights: Taylor did not compete for the Mules due to injury.

2017 indoor season highlights: Kennedy did not compete for the Mules due to injury.

2016 outdoor season highlights: Kennedy started the outdoor season at the PLNU Invitational with a fifth-place finish in the 5,000 meters. At the Colby Open, Taylor finished the 10,000 meters in first place, along with a personal best of 37:44.18. Taylor closed out the season at the NESCAC Championships with a seventh-place finish in the 5,000 meters and a personal best time of 17:39.93. Taylor also earned NESCAC Spring All-Academic honors.

2016 indoor season highlights: Kennedy was fourth in the 3,000 meters at the New England Division III Championships and 16th in the event at the Open New England meet. At the Maine State Championships, Taylor was fourth in the mile and helped the 4x800 relay team finish second. She started the season by finishing first in the 3,000 meters at the Wheaton Invitational. She was named to the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team.

2015 cross country season highlights: Kennedy finished first in the Bates first-year/sophomore race to open the season, then took 48th at the Lehigh Invitational, fifth at the Maine State Championships, and 48th at the NESCAC Championships. At the New England Division III Championships, Kennedy took 48th. She was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.

2015 outdoor season highlights: Kennedy was sixth in the 5,000 meters at the New England Division III meet and 19th in the event at the Open New England Championships. She won the 5,000 meters at the Bowdoin Invitational and took fifth in the 1,500 meters at the Colby meet.

2015 indoor season highlights: Kennedy opened the season with four top-three finishes, taking second in the 3,000 meters at the Bates Invitational, second with the 4x800 relay team, second in the mile at the Bowdoin Invitational, and second in the 3,000 at the Maine State Championships. Kennedy competed in the New England Division III Championships, where she took 13th with the 4x800 relay team and 16th in the mile.

2014 cross country season highlights: Kennedy had a strong first season with the Mules. She opened the year with a second-place finish in the first-year/sophomore race at Bates, then continued with a 10th place finish at the Middlebury Invitational. Kennedy closed her season with a sixth-place finish at the Maine State Championships, a 28th-place finish at the NESCAC Championships, and a 39th at the New England Division III Championships.
