Sam graduated from Mountain Lakes High School, where she played soccer and lacrosse. She was an honor roll student and won the Jeff Sweeny Award for sportsmanship and leadership.

AT COLBY 

Sam is majoring in Economics and Environmental Science. She is a Colby Cares About Kids mentor and a member of SAAC.

2018 season highlights: Burch played in six games for the Mules. She had .625 save percentage and a 1-0 record. Sam earned the NESCAC Spring All-Sportsmanship Team honor.

2017 season highlights: Sam played in seven games and had four starts. She had an 8.80 goals against average and a 4-1 record. 

2016 season highlights: Burch played in six games for the Mules and made three starts in net. Burch finished the year with 10 ground balls, 25 saves, and a 6.62 goals against average.

2015 season highlights: Burch appeared in four games in goal for the Mules in 2015, making two starts. Sam finished with 15 saves, a save percentage of .650, and a record of 2-0.
