BEFORE COLBY
Maddie graduated from Williston Northampton, where she played soccer, ice hockey, and lacrosse. She was an All-American lacrosse player her senior year. Hatch's sister, Abby, played lacrosse for the Mules and graduated in 2015.
AT COLBY
Maddie is majoring in Biology and has a minor in Math. She is a Colby Cares About Kids mentor. She worked as a research assistant at Boston Children's Hospital.
2018 season highlights: Maddie earned her first IWLCA All-Region honor. Hatch played in 14 games for the Mules this season, finishing first on the team in draw controls (33) and fifth in ground balls (25). She also had 11 goals, two assists, and caused 17 turnovers. Maddie finished her career with 37 goals, 19 assists, 92 draw controls, 73 ground balls, and 40 caused turnovers. She was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.
2017 season highlights: Maddie was fourth on the Mules in scoring with 19 goals and 14 assists for 33 points. She was 13th in the NESCAC in assists, 14th in draw controls (38), and 14th in conference assists (7). Hatch was 5-for-7 in free-position attempts. She also had 24 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers. Maddie was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.
2016 season highlights: Hatch played in 15 games for the Mules and made 12 starts. She finished the year with five goals, three assists, eight caused turnovers, and was third on the team in ground balls (22). She was named to the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.
2015 season highlights: Maddie appeared in only five games due to injury for the Mules and finished the season with two goals. Additionally, Hatch compiled two ground balls and three draw controls. Maddie scored her first collegiate goal off an assist from Abby Hatch, her older sister.
