Biography

BEFORE COLBY

Amanda graduated with academic high honors from Bethel High School, where she captained the field hockey, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field teams. She was an all-state selection in field hockey and an SWC and state qualifier in triple jump, long jump, the 4x100 relay, and javelin.

AT COLBY

Amanda is majoring in Chemistry with a Biochemistry concentration and a minor in Sociology. She plays both violin and viola in the Colby Orchestra and is a member of Partners in Health.

2016-17 season highlights: Amanda rowed from the fourth spot in the boat for the women's second varsity 8. She helped the crew place eighth at both the National Invitational Rowing Championships (NIRC) and the New England Championships. Amanda also helped the second varsity 8 to a win in Georgia and victories over U. New Hampshire and U. Vermont. Amanda earned the crew's Most Improved Award.
